Steam Announces Game Subscription Plans

By   /   Apr 25, 2013

A new game subscription plan introduced by Steam allows players to manage subscription-based games, said Valve through a press release earlier.

Players can now sign up on Steam and manage the monthly payments for subscription-based games right through Valve’s digital client. The first title to take advantage of this new service is Darkfall Unholy Wars, which was approved through Steam Greenlight last year.

Anyone interested can purchase the game right now for $35.95 and then be billed the additional $14.95 every month. Players can of course cancel their game subscription at any time.

Valve has promised additional subscription-based games to follow in due time.
