Blizzard Released the WarHounds in StarCraft 2 For April Fools

By   /   Apr 1, 2013

It seems Blizzard is in a jolly mood. After bringing back everyone’s favorite crab in World of Warcraft, they have taken the liberty of replacing ALL the worker units in StarCraft 2 with the infamous “WarHounds” from Heart of the Swarm Beta, the powerful units which were deemed to give an unfair advantage in the competitive scene.

Even though this is a mere cosmetic change, it is still good to see Blizzard keeping its sense of humor by (for a few sweet moments) making fans believe that over-powered unit is in their command.

YouTube celebrity, HuskyStarcraft, released the above video to show this off.

The Warhound is currently a cosmetic skin for ALL the races of the workers in the game that will automatically apply to a new worker, and sadly, you can’t produce them at a factory.

Do you think StarCraft 2 has taken the cake with best in-game April Fool’s prank? I certainly think they are shooting for a close second after War Thunder and their Pony Jets!
