League of Legends Breaks 5 Million Concurrent Players

By   /   3 years ago

League of Legends continues to grow at an astounding rate. Developer Riot Games have announced that their free-to-play title has now achieved more than five million concurrent players.

That’s a two million increase in just five months. Back in October of last year, Riot Games revealed statistics that spoke of 3 million concurrent players.

On a whole League of Legends now boasts over 32 million monthly active players, with 12 million playing daily.

The MOBA game is currently a very popular title in the world and has garnered great attention from all corners, including the Korean professional scene. Most are now stating that the game is almost, if not more, popular than StarCraft II.

A direct competition for the title, Valve’s DOTA 2 was said to exceed 300,000 concurrent players earlier this month.
