Gears of War: Judgment COG Tags Locations Guide – Respect for the Fallen

By   /   3 years ago

The COG Tags are a familiar collectible for any Gears of War veteran, and there are a total of 48 of them scattered throughout the main story mission of Gears of War: Judgment.

Gears of War: Judgment COG Tags Locations

Cog Tags are always found near small black Gears of War logos spray-painted on walls, so if you see one of these COG Tag logos, you’ll know there is a Tag nearby. Locating 10 tags awards you the ‘Never Forgotten’ Achievement, 25 gets you ‘Veteran Remembrance’, and getting all 48 nets you ‘Respect for the Fallen’.

Chapter 1 – COG Tags Locations

COG Tag #1Chapter 1: Museum of Military Glory (Old Town)
Location. Soon after the scene where you find out that your convoy’s been destroyed, you head to a waypoint. Before meeting up with the rest of the team, check the courtyard across the street (across your team’s current position). On the building’s wall is a Gears of War logo, which indicates that is a COG Tag nearby. It’s sitting next to the dumpster.

COG Tag #2Chapter 1: Museum of Military Glory (Riverwalk District)
Location. In this location you will come to a marketplace with a turret. While facing the turret (from the lower level), turn left to see an alley where you can see the small GOW logo that signifies the presence of a COG Tag. The Tag is at the end of the alley, around the right corner.

COG Tag #3Chapter 1: Museum of Military Glory (Museum Gardens)
Location. After breaking the second door, and as soon as you’re outside, look for the Gears of War COG Tag logo on your right side. Walk along that alley until you find the Tag.

COG Tag #4Chapter 1: Museum of Military Glory (Great Hall)
Location. You face many waves of enemies in this location. When you’re done with the onslaught (or before the first wave), go to the fountain downstairs (the logo is on the statue), and then jump in the water to find the COG Tag.

COG Tag #5Chapter 1: Museum of Military Glory (Kashkur Wing)
Location. In the large hall, after you kill all Locust, go look around nearby the stairs to spot the COG Tag Logo. The Tag itself is below the turret’s position.

COG Tag #6Chapter 1: Museum of Military Glory (East Wing)
Location. More waves of enemies appear in onslaught style gameplay. After the battle regroup with your team and check the room that’s on the right side of the exit (there is a COG Tag logo outside the room on a pillar). The tag itself is inside.

COG Tag #7Chapter 1: Museum of Military Glory (Archives)
Location. After the segment with the eggs, break the lock and go left. Soon you pass a platform with a Mulcher, you’ll see the COG Tag logo on a wall with the sign to the East Wing on it. The COG Tag is behind the shelves on your right, as you’re facing at the logo.

COG Tag #8Chapter 1: Museum of Military Glory (Vaults)
Location. In the final portion of the Chapter you fight your way to the exit. On the right side of the room is a giant hole.

When you reach the stairs (that are also on the right side), you turn right and you walk until you see the COG Tag logo (assuming you activated the declassified mission, it will be hard to see it if you’re too far). At the edge of the hole is the Tag.

Chapter 2 – COG Tags Locations

COG Tag #9Chapter 2: Halvo Bay Military Academy (Enfield Bridge)
Location. While crossing the bridge you’ll learn that it’s broken, so you have to go around the gap using the stairs on the right side. On the stairs, if you look slightly to your left you can see the COG Tag logo painted on the bridge. Go across the logo, near the gap, to find the Tag.

COG Tag #10Chapter 2: Halvo Bay Military Academy (Courtyard)
Location. You clear the first batch of enemies in the courtyard, and then a new enemy will break the door. Take him out, and go inside. Look for a small room on the left side (The COG Tag logo is on the right side). Inside the room is the Tag behind a desk.

COG Tag #11Chapter 2: Halvo Bay Military Academy (R&D Labs)
Location. In the next area, there are Locust enemies that are coming outside of a smaller room that you need to go inside. As soon as you enter, turn right to see the COG Tag on the other side of the chamber, behind the electronic devices.

COG Tag #12Chapter 2: Halvo Bay Military Academy (Monroe Commons)
Location. When you enter the large hall, walk straight into the room in front of you (the logo is inside). Go through the hole that’s in the burning wall. Hug the right wall, and you will find this COG Tag across the room, behind the desks.

COG Tag #13Chapter 2: Halvo Bay Military Academy (Atrium)
Location. After the section where you defend the bot, you’ll pass the statue that’s in the center and then you go inside the room on the right side. The COG Tag is behind the door.

COG Tag #14Chapter 2: Halvo Bay Military Academy (Crash Site)
Location. Before the waves begin, turn around and check the wide staircase behind the bot. On the right side (the bot is behind you) is the COG Tag.

Chapter 3 – COG Tags Locations

COG Tag #15Chapter 3: Seahorse Hills (Amador Park)
Location. After breaking the door in, kill the Corpser and the Kantuses, then go left on the stairs. Climb the stairs, and look right to see the COG Tag logo. The COG Tag is behind the stairs you just climbed on the right.

COG Tag #16Chapter 3: Seahorse Hills (Magadha Villa)
Location. Before proceeding on towards the next section, go to the end of the street. COG Tag is behind the last electricity post.

COG Tag #17Chapter 3: Seahorse Hills (Soleno Villa)
Location. Just like before, take out the enemies and head outside on the streets. At the intersection there are four cars. Check between the ones that are closest to the tunnel to find a COG Tag.

COG Tag #18Chapter 3: Seahorse Hills (Windward Way)
Location. After the Bloodmounts crash the gates, there will be a blue container on the left side of the area with a white COG logo on it. The Tag is on the right side of the container, as you’re facing it.

COG Tag #19Chapter 3: Seahorse Hills (Risea Estate)
Location. After you’ve taken care of the mortar units head left near the exit. The mansion has a garage in this area (there is a fire inside), and the COG Tag is inside, next to the shelves on the left side.

COG Tag #20Chapter 3: Seahorse Hills (Guest Bungalows)
Location. There is a room under the balcony with the last mortar crew. Go through the broken wall and turn right to see the COG Tag on top of a drawer.

COG Tag #21Chapter 3: Seahorse Hills (Elliott’s Mansion)
Location. Soon after you show up here, the mansion will be attacked. Clear a path downstairs and you’ll see the COG Tag logo on the left side of the hall, next to the stairs. Go up, above the sign, and collect the COG Tag.

Chapter 4 – COG Tags Locations

COG Tag #22Chapter 4: Onyx Point (Fortress)
Location. After you successfully eliminate the Locust in the beginning, you reach the top level. Before going to the second section, search for the COG Tag logo on the building next to the exit point. On the right side of the logo, you can see another chamber nearby (not the one closest to your team). Go inside to find the Tag.
