Tomb Raider Temple of the Handmaidens Puzzle Walkthrough Guide

The Temple of Handmaidens is the final tomb in Tomb Raider. The location of the tomb is northeast from the fast travel camp in the Shipwreck Beach.

In order to access the tomb, Lara must have a special item called the Rope Ascender. The door to the tomb can’t be opened without it. The item can be acquired after Lara returns to Endurance.

Required Items: You’ll need the Rope Ascender, Climbing Axe, and Rope Arrows for this tomb.

Temple of the Handmaidens Walkthrough
If you have the Rope Ascender, you can use your Rope Arrow to attach the rope to the door, and then use the Ascender to pull it heavily to destroy the doors. This will give you entrance to the tomb.

Move through the narrow, linear, and dark path ahead, and you should reach the day camp in a large open cave with water flowing.

Next to the day camp is a wheel. Turn it to raise the gate, which will clear the path for the buoy. Climb the platform on the left, and wait for the buoy reach the vertical pillar.

The horizontal pole will move allowing you to grab it and move towards the second platform. While on the second platform, use your rope to rotate the pillar, and wait for the buoy to reach it. Jump on the second horizontal pole, and then jump again to the climbable wall.

Use your climbing axe to grab on, and then ascend to the second floor. The final treasure chest lies here, waiting for you to open it.
