Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation Secures Writers Guild Award

By   /   Feb 18, 2013

Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation has been awarded by the Writers Guild of America for it’s outstanding script in video game writing.

The man of the hour is Jill Murray who wrote the story of Liberation along with co-writer Richard Farrese. Shortly after receiving their award, Murray posted a picture of it on his Twitter account saying: “Holy crap, we won the Writers Guild of America award for game writing. This actually just happened.”

Alongside Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, the other nominees who got beat were 007 Legends, Assassin’s Creed 3, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Tow, Halo 4 and Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

The Ubisoft developed title brought the first ever female protagonist in the Assassin’s Creed series. Aveline de Grandpre would probably feel great after securing a Writers Guild award; however the game got pretty average reviews.

Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation was released last year in October and is available exclusively for the PlayStation Vita.
