Pokemon TV Released for iOS and Android

By   /   Feb 13, 2013

Pokemon TV has now officially been released by Nintendo for iOS and Android; in turn making a lot of Pokemon fans happy.

A while back Nintendo accepted that their presence on smart phones was needed and that they would be bringing out numerous wonders for the platform. The release of Pokemon is probably just the start. The step also helps Nintendo in further promoting their Miiverse.

The Pokemon app has so far been well received by users. It currently boasts more than 50 episodes and spans about 15 seasons. Nintendo has promised new episodes each week and even entire Pokemon movies later.

The best part of the app is that it’s entirely free. You can well imagine every Pokemon fanatic going nuts over it right now. One complain that consumers have registered so far is that the app does not include the first series. A pretty minor inconvenience in the long road ahead I’d say.

Nintendo has not announced any plans to bring the feature on their 3DS but hopefully it will happen in the future.
