Origin Finally Launched for Mac

By   /   Feb 9, 2013

EA has finally brought its digital distribution service, Origin, to Mac. For now, the starting lineup on Origin consists of 50 games with titles, including Dragon Age 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum/City and Lego games.

Like its PC counterpart, Origin for Mac will also feature cloud storage and also feature social connectivity. Keep in mind that Origin on Mac has been available since September of last year but only in the alpha testing phase.

Furthermore, particular EA games that are available on both Mac, and PC will feature cross platform play.

This is another sign of Origin slowly catching up with Steam. Since its launch Origin has garnered more than 40 million users, and EA has signed up more than fifty publishing partners with their digital distribution service.
