Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, the enhanced version of the original Ninja Gaiden 3, as of yet considered a Wii U exclusive, has been announced for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The game was announced as one of the launch titles for the Wii U.

The Japanese retailer, Rakuten, listed the game for the PS3 and Xbox 360 yesterday and later that day Famitsu confirmed the rumor. The game added features to make use of the Wii U controller but there were other improvements as well which can now be experienced on other consoles.

New features for the release include a better enemy AI, a new upgrade system, new playable characters Ayane, Kasumi and Momiji, new weapons and an overall improvement to the gameplay. There will be some new costumes included with the release as well. Finally the PS3 and Xbox 360 version will see a new challenge titled “Ninja Trial” which will feature 25 missions.

The game will be released on April 4 in Japan for a price of 7,140 Yen.
