Splinter Cell: Blacklist Hitting Shelves in August

By   /   Jan 16, 2013

Ubisoft reveal the release date for their upcoming Splinter Cell game.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which was originally slated for a release sometime in Spring 2013, has been delayed by a significant amount according to Ubisoft. IGN revealed the news earlier today with an official release date from Ubisoft.

The new release date is now set for August 20, 2013 which does put it at a few months after the expected release window. Fortunately they also announced that pre-orders and bonus content would be available as of today.

The new Inauguration trailer shows the new release date, but curiously of the release platforms it mentions it never makes mention of the Nintendo Wii U. Pictures of a Wii U version of Blacklist were seen last year, but now the platform seems strangely absent. Perhaps the Wii U version won’t be coming after all.
