Dead Island: Riptide Will Utilize New Rendering Engine
Anthony Cardahi, the creative director for Dead Island: Riptide has revealed that their game will be using a new rendering engine, which in turn will offer players better graphical content and a dynamic weather system.
During an interview the creative director said:
We have a jungle as the setting in which our rendering engine improvements are clearly visible. And because the area is flooded, you see there, the better water effects. We also have a dynamic weather system that provides a lot of variety, it feels totally different to when you just beneath the blue sky in the sun rose and then torrential rain suddenly impair your vision.
The first Dead Island game was met with mixed reviews. The game was plagued with bugs and glitches, causing annoyance for many players. Hopefully this time around the developers are going to release a more polished product.
Dead Island: Riptide will release on April 26 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
