Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Not Coming To Wii U

By   /   Jan 8, 2013

Konami confirm that the next Castlevania game won’t be releasing on the Wii U despite releasing across all other major platforms.

Dave Cox from Konami and producer on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 tweeted earlier today to say that there’s “no chance” of a Wii U version of the game. When a follower asked him if the game would be coming to Nintendo’s newest console he tweeted back the disappointing news.

“Sorry to disappoint you but no chance.”

This news strikes some people as odd considering that the prequel title, Mirror of Fate, is an exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS. Whilst this does mean that the games are getting equal coverage across Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox and PC, it does strike me as strange that they’re splitting it across two games like this.

The Castlevania: Lords of Shadow games are due out this year, with Mirror of Fate being due out in March and Lords of Shadow 2 being out sometime later this year.
