Blizzard’s Titan Project Is Not A New IP & May Not Be PC Exclusive

It’s been more than a year since the world got to know about Blizzard’s Titan Project. An accidental leak of the firm’s three-year plan back in 2011 dropped the news and since then, information regarding the IP has been difficult to come by.

Fans over at Titan Focus have collected a bunch of rumors which might be true if their sources are to be believed. Many of the details are coming from an individual that has proven to cast reliable rumors in the past. Hence, his words should have some credibility to them.

First up, Titan is not a brand new IP. It’s a spin off based on one of Blizzard’s existing franchises. Previously many thought it to be an extension of Warcraft, with a brand new engine and all of the works. However, the latest hints put Titan as a “Diablo-like” spin off instead. You can believe whoever you wish to but it’s kind of saddening that Titan is in fact not a brand new IP.

While the PC version was off course confirmed since the start, Titan may also be getting ready to be released on Microsoft’s next-generation console.

Titan is speculated to be officially released in late 2014 or early 2015. The date comes from a source that accurately predicted the release date of Diablo 3.
