According to Ben Cousins, Mirror’s Edge 2 is finally being developed by DICE.
Cousins, who previously was the general manager of EA Easy wrote on twitter:
It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror’s Edge 2 is in production at DICE.
The tweet came as a response to comments made by current Vice President of EA Patrick Soderlund, who said that DICE does not want to become “a Battlefield factory”.
Mirror’s Edge 2 has popped up on the web this year, appearing on a number of developers’ CVs. However, the game still hasn’t been officially confirmed by either studio.
Following the original release, fans have been requesting EA for a second installment. Looks like EA has finally heard their cries.
The game offered an original concept that was a breath of fresh air of the usual genres in the current market.
