Halo 4 Longbow Map Strategy Guide – Power Weapons and Vehicle Locations

Longbow is probably the largest map in Halo 4′s multiplayer maps collection. This one takes place in a snow-covered, blizzard hit region and wears a UNSC theme.

A large array of vehicles are present for both sides to take advantage off. Longbow features a lot of fighting zones, and this is what makes it a map with a unique gameplay experience.

Multiple battles will be spread out across the maps leaving you to choose which area to make free of enemy tyranny. Longbow is also one of the game’s maps that hosts several of Halo 4’s newest game modes.

Map Layout
Longbow basically has three primary buildings in the center of the map, with one closer to each team and the last one in the middle. These act as the control points when playing Dominion but in any other mode, it plays host to great cover for troops.

Each side spawns at the furthest end of the map and has the options of a variety of vehicles and weapons.

Power Weapons
Rocket Launcher: There are two located in the map and can be found near each team’s initial spawn point.

Railgun: It is located opposite to the Spartan Laser near the path that bridges one spawn to the middle of the map.

Spartan Laser: It is located in the middle of the map, on a high rise outside the main structure.

Sniper Rifle: There are two of them in the map.

Other Weapons
Grenades
Random Drop Weapons

Vehicles
Turret: There are two of them located in the map.

Warthog: There are four of them located in the map, two for each side.

Mongoose: There are two of them located in the map.

Ghost: There are two of them located in the map.

Tips and Strategy
Longbow is not only the largest but also the prettiest of Halo 4′s maps. Power weapons are scattered throughout and are available for the picking.

Vehicles can be a powerful way to rush across the large map, but it’s not really necessary. There will always be a fight zone near your location so you don’t have to fret about what’s happening on the other side of the map.

Considering the environment, the amount of vehicles, power weapons and scale of the map, Assault Rifles are almost useless here. It’s very difficult to take down enemies with them, specially headshots.
