Halo 4 seems to be reigniting the passion of the series in fans once again as an exciting new contest gives ambitious musicians to create their own tunes using the upcoming game’s brilliant soundtracks.

This remix contest will start from October 3 (today) and will go till October 29. The willing participants are to utilize samples from two tracks in the game: Awakening, To Galaxy, and Nemesis.

You can visit the Halo Remix site to start your mixing and publish your remixes there.

The judges to decide the winners will be no other than composer Neil Davidge, audio director Sotaro Tojima, and musicians Sander Van Doorn and CASPA. They will determine and reveal the winners by November 16.

The prizes will vary by region. In the US, you can expect prizes like a Samsung Series 7 laptop, a limited edition Halo 4 Xbox 360, and a complete collection of Halo soundtracks.

So, get those ears ready, and let your creativity loose!
