Looks like Lunatic Vaas isn’t the only guy you’ll be worried about when strolling through the jungle of Far Cry 3.
Hoyt Volker may not be overly expressive about his insanity (or may not suffer from it at all), but he is certainly expressive about his power. The dude has the strongest private army on the island, comprising of soldiers with the best weapons that money can buy.
In order to take him down, you’ll have to cross the limits, break all the rules, and be tougher than the definition of toughness itself.
On top of that, you have some pretty nasty animals in the wild that would love to taste your flesh, or just ram you in the stomach with their stupidly strong horns.
Predatory animals like lions will also hunt other animals like Ox, but things will get real fun when they predate on your enemies during a gun fight.
Here’s the visual bit of what I’ve been talking about:
Personally, the game is looking great – it’s combining the strengths of the first two Far Cry games (even though the original Far Cry was made by Crytek), and adding in some extra zest to make it potentially a worthwhile shooter.
I’d do with a better graphics engine though; but hey, gameplay and story always has first priority, right?
The game comes for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 at the end of November.
