Square Enix Files Four New Trademarks in Japan

By   /   4 years ago

SquareEnix just keeps on heaping news onto us and the onslaught continues today with news that the company has files four new trademarks over in Japan.

According to Japanese fan site FF-Reunion, the four trademarks that were filed this morning were for Wizardlings, Ultima Box, Agent 47, and Circle of Mana.  Of course there’s been tons of speculation about what each one of these trandemarks could be but at least a few can be deduced.

Wizardlings is more than likely the game Square Enix of North America trademarked back in August, while Agent 47 is clearly a potential new Hitman game.  The Ultima Box could definitely be the recently announced “Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box Set”, with Circle of Mana being the most self-explanatory as a new entry in the Mana RPG Series.  We haven’t seen a new entry there since Heroes of Mana on the DS back in 2007.

It’ll be interesting to see what comes out of this announcement and if everyone’s speculation is spot on.  Keep an eye on Segment Next to find out more as it becomes available!

Thanks, VG247
