Plants vs. Zombies Update Adds Tons of New Content
There are the usual software tweaks that all updates bring along but the biggest news is the inclusion of support for the Retina Display on iPad. If you’ve purchased Plants vs. Zombies HD for your iPad device you’ll now be able to defend your house in glorious, eye melting, crisp High Definition color.
On top of that you’ll also get a new game mode called “Last Stand” where you’ll have to survive a certain amount of rounds with a limited amount of sun and no sunflowers; once that’s completed you’ll get “Last Stand Endless” for the usual 100,000 coins if you’re so inclined.
There’s also “mallet packs” that you can use in “Last Stand” and “Survival” that will allow you to whack a pesky zombie that’s gotten too deep into your defenses. You’ll get the first 5 for free but, of course, more will cost you.
And finally, you’ll get three new achievements to shoot for and an in-app link to the Plants vs. Zombies Store to grab all the merchandise your brain hungry heart desire.
