Middle Earth Roleplaying Project Devs Fight the Power

By   /   4 years ago

You may have seen my post a little while back talking about the popular Skyrim Mod The Middle Earth Roleplaying Project.  The developers working on it had recieved a cease and decist letter from Warner Brothers and at the time of my story they had just planned to let their hard work be for nothing.

Well, since then they have contacted a lawyer and decided to not take this injustice lying down.  They’ve started up a petition which has over 3,000 signatures and plan to take their case to court if need be.

In development since 2008 The Middle Earth Roleplaying Project has been modding the last two Elder Scrolls games to recreate Frodo’s epic walk to Mordor and had recently implimented the height map and were growing an even bigger fan base.  Which is probably what got them noticed by Warner Brothers to begin with.
