Yoshinori Ono Rushed to Hospital

By   /   Mar 26, 2012

Yoshinori Ono, the man responsible for the re-emergence of Street Fighter IV and Capcom’s other fighters, has been rushed to the hospital.

The news, which comes directly from Capcom’s Japanese blog, states that Ono has fallen severely ill and they issued a statement which can be read below.

I would like to bring something else to everyone’s attention. Shortly after the Street Fighter X Tekken promotion in Asia Ono-san fainted and he had to be taken to the hospital.

Because of his hospital tenure he will not be performing work-related affairs for a while. Thankfully it hasn’t ended up being very severe and we wish for his steady recovery.

It’s worth noting that Ono has been travelling the world promoting Street Fighter X Tekken the last few months could this be fatigue? Sadly, Capcom has not issued any other details, so we don’t know when he’ll be out of the hospital or what his illness entails.

Needless to say we’re all hoping for Ono’s steadfast recovery.
