Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Announced For North America and Europe

By   /   Mar 22, 2012

Believe it or not, Final Fantasy will complete its 25th Anniversary this year. And to commemorate it, Square Enix has announced the first-ever music-themed title in the series: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy for North America and Europe.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy was originally revealed in E3 2011 as a Japanese exclusive game for the Nintendo 3DS. However, the publisher of Square Enix interactive entertainment products in the Americas, announced that the game would be arriving in the west this summer.

It is developed by indieszero – a veteran rhythm game developer, and will feature 70 musical scores from key events and locations in the entire 25 year history of Final Fantasy.

The gameplay will feature a hybrid form of musical and RPG elements, and will have many familiar characters from the previous Final Fantasy games.

Expect the game to arrive in summer 2012. We’ll bring you a release date soon.
