Starbreeze Lays Off 25 Jobs After Finishing Syndicate

By   /   5 years ago

Just last night we posted Syndicate’s launch trailer and even before the game’s out, bad news has stemmed from the game’s developer Starbreeze. The Swedish developer is cutting 25 jobs following the completion of Syndicate for publisher Electronic Arts.

Mikael Nermark, CEO of Starbreeze had this to say:

It is sad that we are forced to make staff cutbacks affecting employees. But we have to reduce staff after the final delivery of the Syndicate

It’s never good to hear anyone get laid off and most certainly not when they just completed a game that’s about to be released, but we wish all the people involved all the best and hopefully they can find new jobs soon.

Syndicate will be out next week on February 21 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
