Ubisoft has confirmed that the long-awaited conclusion to the commendable storyline of Assassin’s Creed will finally come to an end this October with the launch of Assassin’s Creed III.

In the Ubisoft conference call for the quarter, the publishing team confirmed that the game will launch on 30th of October this year. Apart from that, there were no details of the setting or plot of the game, except that it will mark the end of the long running AC saga.

Assassin’s Creed III is expected to be Ubisoft’s ‘biggest launch in the publisher’s history’. It’s rather strange that such a well-recognized game will be hitting stores less than a year after the release of its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, which was moderately received by fans all across the world.

We hope Ubisoft can really end the series with a bang. We’ll leave it to you to decide whether we mean that literally or just as a phrase.
