Gotham City Impostors Crashes, FPS Fix, Connection Problems and Fixes

Gotham City Impostors is a multiplayer first-person shooter based around DC Comics’ Batman Universe. It is played between two teams, one dressed like Batman and other dressed like Joker, his arch-nemesis.

Gotham City Impostors launched today after an extended beta and while most of the issues had been fixed, PC guys might be experiencing graphics, performance and connection issues with the game.

If you are among those who are experiencing these issues, you can refer to our workarounds below:

1# Can’t Install Game Via Steam
Region restrictions, you can try with VPN. Or may be that infamous Steam bug that can be fixed by logging out of Steam and then logging back in.

2# Gotham City Impostors Bugged Graphics
Nvidia V.285 seem to work well with the game. Get rid of those beta drivers if you have them installed and roll-back to these drivers to fix these issues.

3# Gotham City Impostors Connection Problem FAQ
If you are experiencing connection problems like “Connection Failure”, “Disconnected from Server”, “Failed to register match with arbitration server” and other errors, make sure you aren’t behind a firewall and have active NAT.

You can follow the instruction to change NAT type for your Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

PC users can try to disable any anti-virus or add Gotham City Impostors exe to their firewall exceptions list if they face any connection problems.

4# Download Incomplete Fix For Xbox 360
If your download progress stops at 99%, and then gets stuck. You can follow these instructions to fix the issue:

Step 1
Delete the left-over game content from the download. You can do so by browsing to – My Xbox > System Settings > Memory> All Devices > Game > Gotham City Impostors, and then delete any game content you might have on your Xbox 360 console. If there was an error with the download, you will see an exclamation point in a yellow triangle.

Step 2
Re-download the game by following these instructions:

• Sign in to Xbox LIVE using the gamertag that you used when you originally purchased the content.
• Press the Guide button on the controller.
• Go to the Settings area, and then select Account Management.
• Select Download History.
• Select the Gotham City Impostors.
• Select Download Again.

Re-downloading after deleting all the game content from your console should fix this issue.

5# Gotham City Impostors Low FPS Fix
If you are experiencing low FPS you can do this mini-tweak to enhance the gameplay experience. Go into your Steamapps > common > Gotham city impostors > Autoexec > and change DisableMaterialsFromFile “1″ to DisableMaterialsFromFile “0″.

If that doesn’t cut it for you, you can follow this workaround for FPS boost:

• Launch Gotham City Impostors
• Return to Windows and open the “Task Manager”
• Find the “Engine.exe*32
• Right click on it “Set Priority” [High]
• “Set Affinity” check every box available.
