Mass Effect 3 to Offer Unlocks via Facebook “Missions”

BioWare’s upcoming RPG Mass Effect 3 is a big deal…just how much of a big deal? Think – action figures, comic books and more. Now, you can add Facebook “missions” to that list, but instead of just being a marketing ploy, players can earn special virtual items.

Called the Mass Effect 3 Mission Command, it states, ” The more you interact with the app, the more chances you’ll have to earn a “custom Paragon or Renegade Xbox 360 with Kinect.” Not only that, but participating in various “missions” will help you unlock Xbox LIVE avatar items, add-ons, and more.

The first mission is to sign up for Mass Effect 3 Mission Command. It states there that if the promo gets enough recruits, people will get a Normandy prop for their avatar on Xbox LIVE.
