Steam Release Mobile App For Android and iOS

By   /   Jan 26, 2012

Most of the social platforms these days have mobile phone applications so that the end-users can at-least access the basic options anywhere in the world without the need of PC or laptop. Steam, a well-known cloud-based gaming community and digital download service is following in the footsteps of its competition by releasing an App on Android and iOS.

The application will keep you updated and allow you to share stuff like images, links etc with your friends. Steam mobile app is in beta phase and if you want to be a part of closed beta, you should download the application and sign up using your Steam account.

Here is what Gabe Newel, the co-founder and president of Valve said about the app:

The Steam app comes from many direct requests from our customers. Seeing which of your friends are online and playing a game, sending quick messages, looking at screenshots for an upcoming game, or catching a sale – these are all features customers have requested. Mobile is changing way people interact, play games and consume media, and the Steam app is part of our commitment to meet customer demands and expand the service functionality of Steam to make it richer and more accessible for everyone

It’s an age of Smart phones, it makes sense to do give this mobile app a try.
