Resident Evil 6 Story, New Characters, Enemies and More!
Capcom celebrated Resident Evil Anniversary yesterday in Japan, and during that party they revealed more information about the recently announced Resident Evil 6.
Executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi and director Eiichiro Sasaki took the stage to share more details about Resident Evil 6.
Resident Evil 6 has been in development for a several years with the largest team (150 full devoted developers, add to that contributors and you have a team of 600 people) working on the game in the history of the series.
Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy are not the only playable characters in the game, there is another unnamed male (pictured above) described as ‘the man who’s told to save the world’.
Like it or not, Resident Evil 6 has taken few cues from Resident Evil 5 and will be entertainment focus. Developer has even gone on to call it ‘Horror Entertainment’ so don’t be surprised to experience Call-of-Duty style overwhelming action sequences. But don’t judge them on that, they have retained some of the survival horror elements as well, so there is hope.
Resident Evil 6 has been developed around two key concepts and these are ‘The fear that lies ahead’ and ‘everything is overwhelming’. Everything is overwhelming again reflects action focus of Capcom.
Chris and Leon’s story will progress simultaneously and hopefully they will cross path but that hasn’t been confirmed. The Javo (pictured above) is the new enemy along with several other returning monsters and undead zombies.
