Kinect Coming To TV’s Near You

Bye bye! To remote controls, as Microsoft plans to integrate Kinect into next generation televisions. Sources familiar with the subject told The Daily that the tech giant wants to aggressively push the Kinect into as many living rooms as possible, even those without its Xbox 360 gaming systems.

According to app magazine The Daily, Microsoft is also in talks with hardware vendors to add the Kinect in with next-generation televisions. The licensing deals are currently in the early stages, with Vizio and Sony being named as possible partners.

This seems to be an attempt by Microsoft to match Google’s Google TV, however it’s not clear whether these Kinect loaded television systems will be workable with PCs having Windows 08 or not.

Just imagine, how TV lounge will look like, when there is no remote control, and everyone has the power to change the channel.
