Biggest Xbox 360 Sales Week Ever – Almost 1M Consoles Sold

Wii had a great sale on Black Friday, selling over 500,000 units in 24 hour window. But Xbox 360 has surpassed these stats with 1M copies sold in last week. And 0.8M of these consoles were sold only in one day including both the bundled and standalone units.

Microsoft also revealed that they sold 750,000 Kinect units over the same period. Among other stats, Nintendo’s DS sold 900,000 units throughout the week while 3DS had a 325% sales bump. Sony hasn’t revealed anything about PS3 yet.

So, for the time being, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is the most selling gaming console. How this would affect the release of next Xbox console is an intriguing agenda to discuss. I think Microsoft won’t be in any hurry to launch the console next year.
