Next Gears of War Possibly A Prequel

Gears of War 3 was a fine way to end the successful franchise, right? Well, not if I told you that there’s a new GoW possibly in the making, and it’ll be a prequel to the original game.

It’s regarded as a rumor for now, but according to the upcoming issue of Official Xbox Magazine, the next Gears of War may well be a prequel, being developed by People Can Fly.

Now for those who don’t know, People Can’t Fly isn’t exactly the same old one; it’s been taken over by Epic Games, the master minds behind the previous Gears of War games, and the creators of the majestic Unreal 3 Engine.

It doesn’t take a genius to guess GoW is continuing on merely because of its popularity instead of anything else, as Epic Games is probably focusing on something else now. Heck, Epic Games is still focusing on Gears of War, as they plan to release RAAM’s Shadow DLC for GoW 3.
