1# Low Performance, Low FPS, Game Stuttering
If you are running the game in DirectX 11, you will almost certainly experience low performance and low FPS on your machine. So, if you prefer smooth gameplay over graphics, turn off DirectX 11, and run the game, you will see much improvement.
2# Performing First Time Setup – Installing .Net Framework
Batman Arkham City will check if all the pre-requisites are installed and may perform a first time check up operation, leading to installation of these pre-reqs. Patience is the key here, it can take a lot of time, so better grab some pop corn and watch House, while you are at it.
3# How To Change Video Settings DirectX 11
Configure > Options > Video
4# Xbox 360 Controller Fix
5# Crash To Desktop – GFWL Fix
Make sure you have updated DirectX and Video Card drivers. Install the latest GFWL redistributable. Check Nvidia or ATI for the latest drivers.

Hello, I just downloaded Batman Arkham City off of Steam. For some reason after Catwoman defeats the bad guys at the beginning, I am unable to hear any of the voices when dialogue is supposed to be going on. I have tried your #8 solution but I do not seem to have any 41k 32 bit option for my speakers. Any other ideas on how I can fix this?
Why is this game crashing will there be a patch that will fix this?
I was going to try the #8 solution but my computer allows 24-bits at max, there’s no 32-bit option anywhere
After I defeat ra’s al ghul, the game hits a stand still with batman holding the sword and cannot progress any further… pls help!!
there is also ano. solution for how can be sword can be removed from batman hand after ras -gul fight ,it”s very simple go to your control panel or go to your sound,video and game controler option and disabled all your voice softwares…and after this play game… when batman…gives off his sword… then again enabled voice from this option…

Mine does that sword thing to it mite help if you lowe the quality or update your Nvidia or AMD, but my problem is how can I open the game set up where I can change the quality because there is no button for it
In your game folder there must be binery folder . In that folder batmanlauncher.exe . Launch that exe and config your setting

My batman arkham city crashes at launch.First of all the physxextensions.dll in the game folder has a trojan and my antivirus deletes it. When I reinstall my game and turn off my antivirus and run it, it crashes.

Fixed it by disabling my 3d extreme pro joystick software but now the game runs in slow motion…….HELP!
when the game says click right click or it will stop iam clicking and there is no response and still say loading then the gamed stopped working what a hell of that ??!!!

I had the same problem but I just changed quality to low and made a new save, and it worked perfectly. By starting a new save is the only way to get it work i think…..
iam having a problem that when after finishing the fight with joker and his goons the game freezes and the loading icon appears and everyhing freeze’s.sum one please help me!!!!!

GFWL does not show up while starting the game. Nothing happens when I press the Home button. Also clicking the Live button in-game nothing happens. But when I click backspace to show Windows Live Marketplace an error shows up saying I’m not signed to Windows Live. I have reinstalled and tried even by signing in to Windows Live manually via CLient before starting the game,but nothing happens. However the game runs fine but I cannot save.
So I found out a solution myself. First uninstall the GFWL – then clean the registry files. Now download Live From -http://www.shacknews.com/file/18176/games-for-windows-live-client-v33
Let it update. Then start the game opening the client.
i am stuck in the first meeting with joker when batman gets infected and kicked out of window on wheelchair after that my screen turns black and can´t get further…anybody experienced it ?
yeah i had the same problem but unfortunatly don’t know the solution for it.;)
