Need For Speed The Run Lag, Crashes, Freezes, Autolog Errors, and Fixes

By   /   Nov 15, 2011

Need For Speed: The Run got mixed reception from the critics, even though it was expected to be a phenomenal story oriented racing game since Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

If you ask me, if you loved Most Wanted, you will love The Run – if you can somehow neglect its several short-comings. In any case, don’t let technical hurdles come in your way to enjoy this game with these workarounds.

1# NFS Run Xbox 360 Controller and Gamepad Issues
If the game doesn’t recognizes your Xbox 360 controller or PC gamepad – To resolve the issue, unplug all the USB controllers from your computer and try again.

If it still doesn’t work, remove the drivers, and plug the control back in to your computer. Window will boot the official driver and that may do the trick.

Most of the times, it’s the wireless controller and if that’s the case, make sure you read the documentation here to snipe the issue.

2# Graphics and Performance Fixes
If you are experiencing any kind of graphics or performance issues, you can download the latest build of Nvidia Beta drivers exclusively optimized for Need For Speed: The Run.

You can download and install these drivers from here.

4# Need For Speed The Run Steering Wheel Support
When it comes to steering wheels, Need For Speed The Run is quite selective. If you are a PS3 owner, you should be glad since all the steering wheels based on PS3 controller will function in The Run but you will have to configure/map them properly.

On Xbox 360, The Run only supports Microsoft Wheel. PC gamers can use all DirectX Compatible controllers – but they have to configure them properly in the game.

5# My Friends aren’t appearing on my Speedwall?
There can be multiple reasons for that – they may have still to set a time on that track or may haven’t connected Online while playing or may have not accepted EA Terms & Conditions.

6# The wrong times are appearing on the Speedwall
Allow the server to update the stats – it should resolve within few minutes. If not contact the support!
