GTA III Turns 10, Coming To Mobile Devices

By   /   5 years ago

Grand Theft Auto III will always be remembered as a legendary sand-box game, and its creator Rockstar knows the fact. That is why they have announced a mobile-version of the 10-year old game, to keep its legacy alive.

Yes, GTA III is coming to selected Android and Apple devices. The full list of compatible phones/tablets (see below) indicates that the game will have high hardware demands.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of GTAIII, Rockstar is also peddling a $150 limited-edition Claude action figure, along with Liberty City prison jumpsuit, cargo pants and a bomber jacket with ‘working zippers’. The figure will also come with a baseball bat, grenades, knife, pistol, sniper rifle, and assault rifle.

The supported mobile devices are:

  • Apple iOS devices: iPad 2, iPhone 4S
  • Android phones: Droid X2, HTC Evo 3D, LG Optimus 2X, Samsung Galaxy S2, Motorola Atrix 4G
  • Android tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

If you are an old-timer, share your Grand Theft Auto III experiences with us. I remember having to upgrade my PC back in the day, just to play the damn game but it was worth it.
