Space Marine Multiplayer Class Guide


In Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, you can either choose to be a Space Marine or a Chaos Marine. Each have three unique classes – choose the class that complements your game style.

Space Marine Multiplayer Classes

Tactical – Space Marine
These are the Tactical Marines of the combat. They have a lot of roles in the battlefield and they can counter almost any sort of class. They can capture territories are hold them with the help of their élite skills. This would be the most balanced class.

Weapons: Combat Knife, Bolt Pistol, Bolter, Plasma Gun, Stalker Bolter, Melta Gun, Storm Bolter, Vengeance Launcher.

Special: Frag Grenades, Blind Grenades, Stimulants

Perks: Favor of the Armory, Larraman’s Blessing, Master-Crafted Wargear, Rapid Deployment, Serrated Combat Blade, Tactical Readout, Teleport Homer, Weapon Versatility

Weapon Perks: Additional Melta Fuel, Bolter Targeter, Burst Fire, Enlarged Plasma Chamber, Improved Melta Charge, Improved Twin Link, Kraken Bolts, Rapid Fire Reload, Stalker Ammo Reserves, Vengeance Projectiles, Vengeance Payload

Tactical (Chaos)
Just like the Space Marines, these are the Tactical Marines but loyal to their Dark Gods. These are the best warriors to counter the other side’s Marines as they have similar abilities.

Weapons: Combat Knife, Bolt Pistol, Bolter, Plasma Gun, Daemon Eye Bolter, Melta Gun, Twin Bolter, Vengeance Launcher

Special: Frag Grenades, Blind Grenades, Stimulants

Perks: Favor of the Armory, Larraman’s Blessing, Master-Crafted Wargear, Rapid Deployment, Serrated Combat Blade, Tactical Readout, Teleport Homer, Weapon Versatility

Weapon Perks: Additional Melta Fuel, Bolter Targeter, Burst Fire, Enlarged Plasma Chamber, Improved Melta Charge, Improved Twin Link, Kraken Bolts, Rapid Fire Reload, Stalker Ammo Reserves, Vengeance Projectiles, Vengeance Payload

Devastator – Space Marine
This is the group which provides heavy support to their team. They specialize in high damaging weapons such as the heavy bolter and the lascannon. If they get a sweet spot they can take out loads of enemies.

They have an edge over the assaulters (tactical) if it’s a ranged battle. The bad part is that due to all that heavy weaponry their mobility is slow and they are easy to be engaged from close battles, also their melee attacks aren’t so good.

Weapons: Bolt Pistol, Heavy Bolter, Lascannon, Plasma Cannon

Specials: Frag Grenades, Blind Grenades, Combat Stimulants

Perks: Ammunition Stores, Artificer Armor, Fast Stomp, Feel No Pain, Furious Stomp, Iran Halo/Chaos Icon, Reactive Blast, Signum Link

Weapon Perks: Heavy Bolter Coolant, Heavy Bolter Expertise, Improved Plasma Charge, Lascannon Charge, Lascannon Capacitors, Lascannon Stabilizers, Plasma Heat Sink

Havoc
The champions of the Dark Gods. These are very much similar to the devastators but are loyal to the Dark Side. They are also equipped with the Heavy Bolter, Lascannon and Plasma Cannon etc.

They are pretty weak if they are engaged in close-combats – the reason is the same that their mobility is very slow. The weapons have special attacks such as the blasting shot of Plasma cannon.

Weapons: Bolt Pistol, Heavy Bolter, Lascannon, Plasma Cannon

Specials: Frag Grenades, Blind Grenades, Combat Stimulants

Perks: Ammunition Stores, Artificer Armor, Fast Stomp, Feel No Pain, Furious Stomp, Iran Halo/Chaos Icon, Reactive Blast, Signum Link

Weapon Perks: Heavy Bolter Coolant, Heavy Bolter Expertise, Improved Plasma Charge, Lascannon Charge, Lascannon Capacitors, Lascannon Stabilizers, Plasma Heat Sink

Assault
The assaults are equipped with the jump-packs and close combat weapons. They can take-out anything in their range. They are the only ones whom are equipped with a proper melee weapon, although they can only equip a side-arm with it.

The jump-packs have a special Ground Pounding attack which is pretty impressive and damaging to the enemies. Their movement is also pretty fast.

Weapons: Chainsword, Power Axe, Thunder Hammer, Power Sword, Bolt Pistol, Plasma Pistol, Bolter.

Special: Frag Grenades, Blind Grenades, Combat Stimulants

Class Perks: Air-Cooled Thrusters, Blast Off, Death From Above, Final Vengeance, Furious Charge, Impenetrable, Sure Strike, True Grit

Weapons Perk: Axeman’s Zeal, Bolt Pistol Magazine, Killing Blow, Plasma Heat Sink, Power Swordsman’s Zeal, and Swordsman’s Zeal.

Raptor
The raptors are the counters of the Assault, same attributes. Just like the Assault team, with the True Grit perk they can equip a bolter instead of a pistol with their melee. They are aware of Para-trooping too.

Weapons: Chainsword, Chain Axe, Daemon Maul, Power Sword, Bolt Pistol, Plasma Pistol, Bolter

Special: Frag Grenades, Blind Grenades, Combat Stimulants

Class Perks: Air-Cooled Thrusters, Blast Off, Death From Above, Final Vengeance, Furious Charge, Impenetrable, Sure Strike, True Grit

Weapons Perk: Axeman’s Zeal, Bolt Pistol Magazine, Killing Blow, Plasma Heat Sink, Power Swordsman’s Zeal, and Swordsman’s Zeal.
