From Dust
This week, we found out that Driver: San Francisco will require a permanent online connection for both singleplayer and multiplayer. From Dust could have enjoyed the same fate but Ubisoft has confirmed it to VG247 that the game won’t require “always on DRM” system. That’s quite a relief as many fans out there would not want to see another game spoiled by Ubisfot’s controversial DRM.

We can’t blame the company when they believe that their not-so-friendly DRM has enabled them fight against piracy successfully. I hope they open their eyes and ears to comprehend fans’ rage about this system. This is PC we are talking about, and we hope Ubisoft doesn’t dump its PC fan base entirely by constantly imposing this consumer nightmare on all of its PC games.
