By   /   Jul 11, 2011

Sony have announced that PlayStation users, who have had PSN accounts, which were established prior to April, can now sign up for free identity theft protection till July 31st.

After an impressive run of welcome back gift packages, this is Sony’s second attempt to win the hearts of the fans who left the company after the security breach in April.

They are willing to carefully monitor all the activities that take place and in case of any suspicious behavior, they seize the account and inform the owner about it.

However, with a number of users not finding about this offer till recently, they have now extended their offer to sign up for this security system until July 31st.

What’s the catch ? it gives you one year’s free access to this boosted security and they will also have a one million dollar insurance policy running with the offer.
