One of the most anticipated games, over the course of the coming months has to be Battlefield 3. The game seems to have captivated the world, however, despite that fact, it now appears like it is going to be targeting an even bigger audience, than previously expected.
Battlefield 3 is looking to offer new elements in its multiplayer component, in hopes to make it more easily accessible for a new audience, while retaining its loyal fans at the same time.
In a recent interview, Lars Gustavasson, the lead designer of the multiplayer component of Battlefield 3, things started to become a little clearer as to what could be expected from the game in the near future.
When talking about the game, Gustavasson immediately mentioned how the previous: “Play the game our way, or play something else” motto was dropped for the game, in order to attract a wider audience.
When talking about the maps, he stated that the Frostbite 2 engine helped the team develop some highly immersive maps, which varied significantly from each other. As a result of these varying maps, the gameplay is set to widely differ and each map is going to end up requiring a different approach, in order to leave your opponents high and dry.
The maps are large, will feature seamless transitions, and each map will be able to host a Team Deathmatch. Yes, Team Deathmatch mode is set to return to the Battlefield world, after being locked out since Battlefield 1942.
This news is more than likely to build on the hype that the game has already developed, as its launch date comes closer by the minute.
The classic games modes, Conquest and Rush are set to return, but, are going to be bigger, braver, and more exciting than they have ever been.
The fights are going to vary from all out soldier/infantry fights, to breathtaking vehicle battles, all of which will be done without hesitation.
As a result, Battlefield 3 looks to be one of the most promising games that is yet to release. These are nothing more than mere glimpses of what the multiplayer is going to offer this time around, as Gustavasson ended by stating that there is plenty more to be revealed in the near future.
From the looks of things, Battlefield 3 is going to be a must buy game for almost every fan of the FPS genre. It looks to offer a massive punch and hopefully, when it is officially unveiled to the world, it can deliver without hesitation.
