Sony Buying Chip Plant From Toshiba

Back in 2007 Toshiba paid $1.1 billion for the chip plant located in southern Nagasaki. Sony and Toshiba teamed up then to produce cell processors which are primarily used in the PlayStation but it’s also used in other consumer products such as computers. Both companies announced today that Sony will be buying the plant in march of next year and that the deal has been finalized.
