How to Play BattleStations Pacific On Hamachi or Tunngle

BattleStations Pacific is a realtime strategy game published by Eidos interactive.

It was released back in 2009 and was neither a total flop nor a big hit. Controls system of the game are annoying to be honest.

But since the game offers some new game modes as compared to its predecessor, it can be fun playing with your friends. Following guide is about how you can play this game  LAN Online using Hamachi or Tunngle.

Battlestations Pacific Hamachi/Tunngle Guide

Step 1
You need to download a registry fix made by “TeknoGods”. You can have it from here. The fix contains a loader and two registry files, one for Hamachi and other for Tunngle.

Step 2
You can extract these files any where in your hard drive. After extraction, double click the respective registry file i.e if you are a Hamachi user use “ConnectionOverrideHamachi” and if you are a Tunngle user, use “ConnectionOverrideTunngle”. It is recommended that you restart your system after this.

Step 3
The one who wants to host should launch BattleStations Pacific and host the game using LAN option. Host does’nt need to do anything else, not even use the “DLL loader”.

Step 4
Those who want to connect to your hosted game need to minimize their game by pressing “Alt+Tab” key and start the TeknoGods loader(DLLLoad) file present in the files you unzipped earlier.
You can also start the loader first and then launch the game but I will suggest you launch the loader after launching the game.

Step 5
Go to to LAN option and search for the hosted game. Press F12 (for ping override) and you will hear “working”, join the game. Once you are in lobby, press F12, second time and you’ll hear “transfer complete”.

Enjoy the game.

Important Notes

  • Make sure that Hamachi is at the top of priority list in your network connections.
  • Both the host and the other players should be in the same network or room using Hamachi or Tunngle respectively.
  • Your firewall should not block either your VPN (Hamachi or Tunngle) or the game.
  • Your in game IP should be same as your Hamachi IP. To check that, launch the game and press “Home” key . Then click “Personal settings” and then “Network settings”.

When I hit F12 nothing happens…I can see my friend’s game but F12 doesn’t make the “working” sound. We have had success with RE5 using the same Teknogods before. Any ideas?

  2. You may not be pressing F12 at the right time.

  3. Kevin says:

I’m pressing it when I am in the lobby looking at my friend’s game, since at least that’s when I hit F12 for Resident Evil 5 to get it working.

  4. Did you try hosting yourself and see if your friend can join or see your game. Hold F12 to get it working….till you hear Working sound, see if that works.

    1. Press F12 before joining the game session.
    2. Press F12 after host starts the game while loading process.

  5. Kevin says:

When I host he can also see the game, but when he presses F12 nothing happens as well. I have mashed the F12 button and spammed it but the working sound never pops up. I will try your second suggestions though. Thanks
