In my previous article, I wrote about StarCraft 2 Tool Replay Renamer, a simple free replay renamer utility to make your life easy. StarCraft 2 Replay Manager and Analyzer are useful tools part of SC2Gears package, which is a software package in development for StarCraft 2.
It consists of a replay manager, replay analyzer and general utility tool for StarCraft 2 and that is not all, it has lot of other cool features that make it must have.
Among other things it is free as well, making it a win win situation for you. Using SC2Gears software you can search replays, manage and analyze them, see the in game chat and other basic information. Installing it very easy, all you need to do is, unzip it anywhere and you are good to go.
Other features include:
- Advanced replay search with replay source management, customizable search filters, and result list saving (the saved lists are CSV’s which can be opened with Excel for example). You can add comments to replays. The result list can be sorted by any columns.
- Advanced replay operations in the result tab of replay search (select replays and right click to access it): copy, move, rename, delete, pack (ZIP) replays, open replay’s folder. The rename operation works on a template entered by the user.
- Replay analyzer with game info, replay chat and map preview as of now.
- Multi platform release: there is one single download for all operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS-X)
- Multi language user interface: users are welcome to translate the language file, any new language can be plugged in.
- Multiple Document Interface (MDI): Several replay analysis, replay search etc. can be open at a time, and each has its own internal window which can be sized, moved, iconified etc.
- Multi-threading technology: you can run several replay searches, analyzers etc. Parallel in different internal windows without one blocking you or another task.
- Several Look and Feels (graphical themes).
- Supports full-screen mode, supports system tray.
- Automated self-updater (asks for confirmation).
You can download and follow the development of this tool via this link.
