Without Ammo You Won’t Survive, So Be Wise
Wise use of ammo is the most critical part in a shooting game. Although Lost Planet 2 environment is warmer than the first part and no T-ENG (Thermal Energy) is required to maintain the temperature. Still it is essential for some weapons which use this energy.You need to use heavy weapons like launchers and grenades wisely and use them on strong enemies rather than using them on simple Akrids. Same goes for VS weapons.

Know The Weapons

Attention! Spawn Pods.
These are orange egg shaped structures usually hanging to walls or lying at corners out of your site.These Pods does not seem to present any threat in the beginning but when you are surrounded with other enemies,these pods are transformed into new Akrids making your task difficult. So if you destroy them before they hatch you can make things easy for yourself.You can either use your heavy weapons or other guns depending upon the ammo you have.

Weakness of the Enemy ? Weak Spot
There will be several times that you will find bigger enemies or bosses hard to kill. Actually you need to find weak spots and then target these spots in order to successfully execute these. The weak spot is usually a big orange spot which can easily be distinguished from rest of the body.It can be anywhere on the body.

Resources are Important
Sometimes you find it useless collecting goods that are of no use for your primary objective like “Activating Data Posts”. Data posts facilitate you in many ways like you get to know the strength and size of your enemies on your map.
Moreover there is a +500 for battle gauge points, which are necessary indeed. Collect as many T-ENG as you can, you never know how much Laser Gun you are going to use in future. So break each and every crate and gather as many resources as you can like ammo, T-ENG and weapons.

Turrets Turrets and Turrets
Turrets are annoying and damaging specially when you are facing a bigger enemy.They do fire a lot hence can cause a lot of damage to you. Manned turrets are specially annoying.You should take them out first before you are crowded with enemies.You can use launchers or  grenades to take them out. This will help you focus on your enemies when the real battle starts.

Be Cautious, Be Observant
You must be cautious at each step as you never know what awaits next.  There are some symbols you can take to perceive the upcoming danger e.g if you have been walking for a long time without encountering any enemy then it is usually the final boss or a big wave of enemies waiting for you. Background music also changes with change in situations.If you find a fully loaded VS then it means that trouble awaits ahead. Preparing your mind for upcoming dangers will help you fight better.

How to Take Tough Enemies Down
It is important that you have some trick under your belt before you get exposed to big bosses or some powerful VS.For example, to take down a powerful enemy VS, you must gather all your split VS to focus at one.
If there are more than one then they are relatively weaker and you should split your VS so that each one of them can be dealt separately.
When it comes to big bosses or multiple powerful enemies, you should keep moving. Slower you get, more will be the chances that you get knock down by enemy.Wait for the right time and then attack instead of attacking blindly.
