Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 proved its worth as a better competent of EA Sports FIFA 09. One important reason for PES falling behind FIFA is its LAN support. There is no proper LAN support implemented in PES and that is the sole reason it hasn’t been adapted by masses till now. Following guide will help you play Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 using Hamachi with your friends.
Step 1| Patching the game
Make sure that your game has been patched to v 1.30.You will have to apply 1.10 and 1.20 first and then apply patch 1.30.
Step 2| Download PES Launcher 2009
Now you need to download this software ‘PesMagazine’ to play this game on LAN. Click here to download pesmagazine 2009. When the download is complete, extract the rar file in your PES parent directory, and execute the launcher.
Step 3| Installing the Certificate
Now click wizard and then click Install Certificate and wait for the process to be completed.
Step 4| Adjusting Ports
Now click wizard tab again and then click on “Fix Settings.exe”.Select the online tab and uncheck “Auto” and “Enable UPnP” if they are already checked.
Step 4| Hosting the Game
If you are host then check the circle saying “Server” and select your Hamachi IP where it says “Select your IP”.Launch the game by clicking the tab saying Launch PES 2009.
Now go to multiplayer and select network and adjust the match settings and wait for your friend to join in.While setting up, you will asked a gamer ID and password which you can get by registering at Konami’s official website, its free.
Step 5| Joining the Game
Add your Hamachi IP in “Select your IP” box and your friend’s IP in the “Server IP” place. Launch the game, go to “Network” and select yes. Then add your Konami ID and password you got after registration.
Enter the lobby and search for matches, join your friend’s hosted game and you will be on the field after the loading is completed.
