How to Change FOV in Battlefield Bad Company 2
If you want to change the field of view in Battlefield Bad Company 2, close the game. Go to BFBC2 folder under “My Documents”, there find “settings.ini” and search for “FOV”. Default FOV is 55, change it to your liking.

1. If you are playing in Full Screen, switch to windowed mode by pressing “ALT+Enter”. When you are in windowed mode see the difference between where your button is and where your cursor is pointing is still present.
If it went away trying going back into full screen mode by pressing “alt+enter” again and see if that resolve this issue.
2. If above solution doesn’t work, open “settings.ini” and change “DxVersion=auto” to “DxVersion=9″.
Fixing Frequent Kicks by Punkbuster Battlefield Bad Company 2
If you are getting kicked by Punkbuster while you try to play online matches, you can try these things to fix this issue.
1. Reinstall Punkbuster.
2. If you are using steam, go to “File”>Settings>In-Game Tab and uncheck “Enable Steam Community In-Game”.
3. If the issue still prevails try the following:
Go to your game folder, installation directory and see if you can find these files in “pb” folder >pbag.dll, pbcl.dll, pbsv.dll and in “Punkbuster” folder>pbsvc.exe. See if you have all these files and in case any of these is missing try installing PB manually.
4. Download the latest version of PB manually and place it on desktop. Now delete the pb folder from the game directory “C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield Bad Company 2″. Now run pb setup and add BFBC2, in case you receive an error towards the end about something like this:
“HTM MD5s do not match security information. Please try updating again later”
Check your antivirus and see the quarantined items if you find anything related to PB in there, authorize it and run the pb setup again and everything will work fine.
5. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, right click on BFBC2 shortcut and go to its properties, there check the box that says “Run as Administrator”, this will resolve most of the connectivity issues.

I have the same problem. As I run the game or I run it as admin it opens the game then I see a blackscreen for about 3secs and then it dissapears and I’m back at my desktop page. Now I tried to change my dxversion, fov, etc. But still the same problem.

-In your crack folder it is pretty obvious you have missed to copy the two text files named “jabberwocky.txt” and “pitoni.txt” to the game directory.

TRIED ALL ANT NOT WORK FOR ME.

when i play bc 2 (multi only) for a while the sound crashes and kinda vibrates or what the image freezes and i can only reset the computer and now medal of honor does the same i have the freshest video card driver, sound card driver

well guys/girls the problem is the sound card on the motherboard. if u like to fix it easy and fast. u can by a sound card or do like me. i use my head set that has a USB. that work and will fix the frezz. i play for 7 hour no prob yet. so its a 100% fix. so u dont have to go and change all that settings. just plug ur head set wit usb or a sheap sound card to ur pc and your online witout no more frezz…
Medal of Honor and Battlefield 2 can run in 1gb memory pc, my pc is a dual core and it has 1 gb memory in run fine despite what the system requirements says 2gb minimum memory. Just finished Medal of Honor in one day.
Just downloaded it today, the graphics were working, until explosions or guns began to fire, then random lights and the graphics became distorted.
Messed around with the options, then updated my drivers for my graphics card. problem solved.

Hey “Chris and Vivek” Same with me too. Everything is beautiful but there is only problem with my axis. Every time i try to strafe or turn left or move backwards or see downwards my axis goes up giving me the top view.

Well, despite how many times ive tweeked this game i click the game on the desktop, it retreives the game version, i get a white screen, and then it goes straight to the desktop like i never clicked anything.
I forgot that i also tried opening with the administrator even while being logged on as administrator. If someone seriously has a fix, please tell me.

For any one who has random crashes (black screen) and if ur drivers are updated and ofcourse if ur pc can run it, try this, very weird but works
I was having crashes at random times on mp and at the beginning of campaign levels untill I ran the program as administrator, just right click on the BFBC2 icon and tic the box saying run as admin, stopped all my crashes and glitches, and still no idea why

game will update if you want to get in multiplayer. If it gets stuck at some file, try re-installing as the installation may be corrupted.
I have been play Mp cod bad company 2 and have had not trouble until March 9 and 10 2011. I get into the game and play and than will a blue screen of death where everything shuts down and the computer restarts? why I do not know, I have un-installed the game and re-installed the game but it still is giving me the blue screen of death, it I never know when or why it is doing it. I have not added anything to the computer and i have been play the game with out any trouble till the 9th and 10 of March 2011.
Make sure your RAM is working properly. Try replacing the RAM’s… and re-install all system drivers. Update All system drivers too. See if that helps

Since last week my BC2 game freezes after some minutes of playing, but sometimes after 1 hour, only in multiplayer mode. The image freezes, and the sound is “vibrating” the only solution is restarting the computer.
I’ve checked my RAMs, they are ok, i’ve got radeon hd6870 and the latest drivers.
Since then i reinstalled the game, the operating system (win7 64x) but it has not solved the problem.
There’s no problem with other games.
Any ideas?

so finally what i did was to format my Pc and reinstall win7 64 bit, why i did this ? since i’ve got nothing but only the BFBC2 on it, and no other data i thought this would b the easiest way to cope with this problem.
and yes it worked now i m back on the on the game, “but if some body is not wanting to format their pc” then they can simply go ahead and remove the Securom which actually will work i was reading some other furoms and everyone was suggesting the same thing “remove securom” then the game shld work;)

I’ve got a more difficult problem to solve. So I recently updated to Windows 7 64bit from Vista (32bit), and the game runs x2 (double gameplay speed) on my PC, singe & multiplayer. As you can imagine x2 gameplay in multiplayer is quite a pain, since real life players dont go twice as fast in reality. I originaly had bought the game on disc, it was runnig great that time on my machine when I had Vista, I also had some time ago installed Windows 7 RC2 and the game had the exact same issue but I thought that it was to be expected for obious reasons. So now apparently it isnt the case since BBC2 is doing its witchcraft on me. And I have tried everythig to sole this: I have the latest drivers for every hardware on my PC, have updated punkbuster, installed the game via the EA Download Manager, messed around with the settings, nothing seems to work! I have no idea why this is happening, the one conclusion that I can come up with is that BBC2 dosent work with Windows 7 64bit. I have no problems with any other game on my PC, and I have many games.. If you can think of somethig that could work please let me know.

Guys, I think I have found the cause of the hole problem
.
I’ve tested and retested it several times so i’m pretty sure my conclusion is correct.
In few words: the problem comes because of a w7 legitimation CRACK, if you install a non-original w7 and just put your graphics card drivers + BC2 installation, and play , you will not experience any freeze or bug so far.
But if you apply a w7 original CRACK, it seems that this operation causes a corruption in the OS related to realtek integrated sound.
I know it looks weak but i’ve checked up a with like 10 formatting and i’m almost sure this is the problem. Just try it and let us know.
A DEFENITIVE SOLUTION?
it seems that replacing de realtek card for a “good one” works, but also for my expierence, an ALREADY cracked w7 installation that doesn’t requiere a later crack execution works TOO!
so my advice is go google up and find this kind of w7 installation.

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, 8gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M with DirectX 11 and everything loads perfectly but in the Main menu to start the game… my mouse points somewhere but it’s about 130 degrees upward where it’s detected… and the keys don’t work, only up and down arrow. I tried the cracked files jabberwoki, pitoni and rld.dll but they dont make a diference, i tried the setting.ini (directX = 11) and nothing, tried the Alt + Enter and didn’t work. Any Ideas??? When I play Bad Company 2 for about 15-20 mins it freezes my computer. No black screen and there is no sound, only thing I see is the gameplay frozen. I can’t press CTRL+ALT+DEL to fix it either I have to restart the computer manually. Please help.

Hey man I don’t get these crashes anymore I’m note sure what caused it but I contacted EA Chat Customer Support and they told me to take the BadCompany2.exe file and use it to start the game and run the game in compatibility mode with and run the game as administrator. Hope this helped you if not you should contact EA Chat Customer Support.
So I just downloaded it from steam and everything seems to work fine in the start menu, but when I try to play the first mission… the subtitles lag, my mouse doesn’t work and after the opening cinematic, my screen goes black. Please help so I didn’t just waste 20 bucks. thanks.
It’s an old driver issue or your card doesn’t meet minimum system requirements. Make sure you installed Driver Update for your video card and it meets the minimum requirements.
