How to track who views your Facebook?

How to track  who views your Facebook profile is the hot topic at the moment with many applications promising to deliver the statistics. But the reality is different, actually none of the applications as of now can deliver any sort of stats relating to your profile views or stats about people who just viewed your Facebook profile.

As Facebook itself has denied of existence of any application that can provide these statistics without your consent, “you the profile visitor”.

“Facebook does not allow users to track profile views or see statistics on how often a particular piece of content has been viewed and by whom without your consent.
If an Application claims to provide this functionality, you can report an application for abuse by going to the application’s About page and clicking “Report Application” at the bottom of the page, or by clicking “Report” at the bottom of any canvas page within the application”.

Facebook has denied straight up that no one and they mean no one can provide these statistics because it is not possible for any application to track these statistics as they are not supported by Facebook.

“Facebook currently does not provide an application that allows users to track profile views or statistics on the views of any specific user content. Third party developers, however, may offer applications that provide some of this functionality. Please keep a few things in mind for these applications:
-Applications CANNOT track profile visits for users who simply go to another person’s profile; Facebook has made this technically impossible.
-In order to be tracked by an application, you will need to specifically agree to allow the application to track your actions.
-Adding an application that provides this functionality is purely optional. If you do not want to participate, please do not add the application to your account”.

If you have been reading the article till now, you must be disappointed to see, and feeling as if you were misguided to read this article. My apologies to use the misguiding title, but you know its a damage limitation move. Obviously you don’t want to be trick by any application that promises to provide these statistics, So in a way I deserve a “Thank You” may be ?.

      Hey,

I can’t imagine FB not tracking these stats – so crucial especially for companies profile, they need to know their bounce rates of views/like.

Thanks for the article anyway ;)
