killKillzone 2 is shaping up to be a heavy hitter contender with the game dominating the show floor at CES.This fps will surely entertain the PS3 users.

The original trailer released by sony was a short one and did not describe the game well, but boy o boy the recent trailer released by them makes you itchy to play this game desperately. The demo that is available to play is of 6 chapters, and from these 6 chapters i would say that the game is an absolute stunner. The stunning graphics are reminder of Final Fantasy.

Features
The stage demo features graphics that are darker and moodier than the first Killzone game on the PS2 and anything we’ve seen from the Halo franchise. Its mostly black, brown and grey textures take on realistic lighting effects with all of the non-stop gunfire going back and forth between you and your monstrously-sized enemies.

Their orange eyes are the only element that really stuck out against the darkness besides the constant spray of bullets. If you look back to the infamous 2005 demo, it features the same sort of frantic chaos as this for-sure, real-time demo.

kill2Like the Halo series, you can carry two guns at a time, including an assault rifle, sniper rifle and rocket launcher according to the E3 demo. All three of these powerful weapons were shown taking out enemies using a built-on scope.

Presumably, you’ll be able to press a button to look through the green lens and zoom all around to place your shot. The effects are pretty gruesome, too. In addition to seeing enemies throw their weapons away and fall to the ground, they’ll start to ooze with a lot of blood. When you’re the one taking the bullets, the screen begins to fade to black and white, which is becoming a little too common these days.

The idea behind games that do this is that it reduces the need for HUD information like health bars and focuses you in on the HD action, Killzone 2 follows the trend by taking away the HUD completely.

Multiplayer
32 players can enjoy the multiplayer of this stunning game simultaneously. The beta version released for testing by sony tells us about the environment of its multiplayer, its pretty much like the original version.

Players are allowed to make 7 classes, which veteran shooters must be familiar of.  Killzone 2 has a distinctive look to it, but the multiplayer maps don’t really give the engine much chance to show off.
There are lens flare effects and the weapons have plenty of detail to them, but the environments are very static with no movable objects or vehicles.

killmOverall this game is shaping good to rock the stage and  is expected to release on 27th of Febraury 2009.
